Job Description:

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the ongoing review of academic departments and programs in the College and the Graduate School. The candidate will serve as a liaison between the College Office, the Graduate School and the departments and programs under review, guide them through the self-study process, and plan and execute the external review. She or he will: be responsible for organizing meetings and managing information coming into and going out of the office; assist departments in self-study preparation; staff Program Review Committee; help determine the cycle of reviews; handle all logistical arrangements for external reviews. This person will also take on additional writing requirements, reports, data management, confidential communication and other organizational and managerial tasks assigned by the Senior Associate Dean of Faculty.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work closely with faculty as well as administrators. M.A. or equivalent required. Ph.D. preferred. Familiarity with Higher Education and/or Emory University a plus.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Assists in directing the strategic planning, development, and implementation of programs.

  • Represents the organization at meetings, conferences and other events.

  • May develop and present speeches or presentations to generate or enhance awareness of program(s).

  • Provides technical support by evaluating established processes, conducting training, attending operational meetings and networking with affiliated groups.

  • Monitors progress toward achieving established objectives and deadlines.

  • Participates in planning, administering and monitoring program related budgets.

  • Conducts research, designs new initiatives, and collaborates with others to ensure program(s) remain viable.

  • May serve on, hold office in, or chair committees.

  • May write publishable articles and papers.

  • May supervise staff.

  • Oversees or assists in developing operational and statistical reports for management and regulatory agencies.

  • Ensures required records and documentation are maintained. Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program(s) and five years of program related experience, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
