The Goizueta Business School is in search of an Associate Director of Employer Relations working in the BBA Career Management Center (CMC). This position reports to the Assistant Dean & Executive Director, BBA Career Management Center. We seek a detail-oriented, self-motivated achiever with a student-centric approach. This individual has a proven track record of initiative and ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects while fostering a collaborative spirit.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

EMPLOYER RELATIONS (90%):

  • Determines employer needs and develops recruitment strategies, ensuring effective communication between corporate recruiters, students, and the Emory Career Center (ECC).

  • Strategically identifies and develops new relationships across all industries for the BBA population while implementing policies, programs, and initiatives to continue engagement with current company connections.

  • Collaborates with the ECC to establish recruiter guidelines and timelines for engaging with the BBA CMC and ECC, including on-campus interviewing policies and procedures.

  • Assists in the development of the overall CMC strategy: gathering and analyzing feedback on recruiter perceptions of both the CMC and overall student performance and presenting to faculty and/or students.

  • Monitors and evaluates current recruitment timelines, industry trends, student interests, while benchmarking with other universities to modify and implement relevant programs.

  • Builds partnerships with peer schools, Employer Relations aims to increase visibility of the school, learn best practices for the team, and create new opportunities for students.

  • Distributes, collects, analyzes, and manages student outcome data and employment statistics for all BBA internships and full-time opportunities to ensure accuracy for annual BBA employer and recruiting report.

  • Maintains student industry-specific (or area-depth) resume books for internship and full-time opportunities,providing employers and alumni student resume books by request.

  • Partners with BBA club leaders on their annual employer and alumni engagement strategy to ensure the appropriate employer touchpoints are being executed.

  • Works with Goizueta's marketing and communications team to ensure external communication to recruiters (marketing material, website content, etc.) are clearly communicated and appropriately branded.

  • Initiates, plans and executes in and out-of-state career treks, company visits, industry-specific programs including weekly alumni panels and networking events, and additional alumni and employer programing. This entails selecting students through application review and preparing them for success with pre-program workshops.

  • Attends career and industry conferences as appropriate.

  • Travels when needed for new business development, which includes Emory University Advancement and Alumni Engagement (AAE) and GBS alumni events.

INDIVIDUAL CAREER COACHING & ACADEMIC ADVISING (10%):

  • Provides academic advising and course planning for an assigned caseload of undergraduate business students; stays up to date on academic requirements and curriculum.

  • May provide career education and counseling to undergraduate business students; may engage in 1:1 career coaching with undergraduate business students.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

  • Coordinates special projects as necessary.

  • Supports BBA CMC and BBA Program Office programming efforts.

  • Some evening and weekend responsibilities.

  • Some travel – approximately 25%.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field and three years of experience in recruiting, career development, sales account development or related field.

  • A master's degree (in business, higher education, counseling, or a related field) and more than 5 years of progressive experience is preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing new business and maintaining existing relationships.

  • Ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate with campus and external constituents, balancing competing priorities.

  • Master’s degree (in business, higher education, counseling, or a related field) and more than 5 years of progressive experience.

  • Knowledge of campus career or recruitment management software, Microsoft Excel, Qualtrics and PowerBI especially preferred.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
