Directly oversees and provides strategic vision to the EmoryCard Services organization including operational, financial, human resources, strategic planning, budgeting and reporting.
Responsible for the day-to-day operations related to the EmoryCard Services program. Develops operational policies and procedures that create consistency, efficiency and effectiveness. Develops requirements, outlines, budgets, and schedules for EmoryCard technology projects to ensure the University is at the forefront of card service technologies.
Effectively manages resources, properly plans future needs and identifies alternative best practices to apply to projects when appropriate. Promotes a culture of exceptional customer service among the EmoryCard team, assuring the highest quality service to all customers. Builds strong relationships across campus to enhance collaboration of system integrations, operational improvements, and other campus-wide opportunities. Proactively resolves issues as they arise. Stays abreast and proactively shares Campus Card industry technology enhancements and best practices amongst the operation.
Develops and initiates creative marketing campaigns to increase EmoryCard awareness. Develops and maintains strong stakeholder and solution provider relationships built on trust, delivery performance, proactive communications, and thought leadership. Coordinates, implements, and tracks initiatives to drive continuous service and process improvement for the units' operation.
Generates relevant solutions for program stakeholders where the focus is value, functionality, convenience, safety and effectiveness. Creates and manages EmoryCard system access and EmoryCard data sharing documents for audit purposes. Leverages program management tools and processes to assign work, manage delivery, measure results, and produce reports. Ensures processes, procedures, projects and incidents are completely and accurately documented.
Acts as the EmoryCard Services liaison with the Off-Campus Eagle Merchant program 3rd party. Hires, trains, supervises, develops and evaluates a small staff plus part-time student employees. Performs related responsibilities as required.
A bachelor's degree in business administration, management, computer technology, or related field and seven years of overall experience with a minimum of four years of campus card or progressively responsible related management experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of the campus card industry to include campus card transaction systems, access control systems, technologies in cardstocks and system equipment, system integrations, and a strategic vision to move EmoryCard Services to the next level within the industry Excellent communication skills.
Supervisory experience with proven ability to direct operational activities and staff. Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture as well as have a good rapport with all areas across enterprise.
