Reports to the Chief of Staff in the President's Office. Executes the daily tactical systems, operations, and processes of the Office of the President. Works with the Chief of Staff to triage issues and incoming communications, provides initial acknowledgements, and tracks action-item progress to completion. Assists the Chief of Staff in tracking and executing daily priority needs of the President. Directs the tracking, review, and processing of Presidential calendar/scheduling requests. Drafts, writes, and edits correspondence, as needed.
Conducts research, analysis or coordinates others providing that information. Develops reports, recommendations, and action plans, as directed. Develops presidential briefing materials and reports with the executive assistant. Fields calls/inquiries, as needed. Staffs appropriate senior leadership meetings, and records and distributes accurate minutes.
Coordinates the weekly portfolio leadership team meeting logistics and agenda process. Documents, tracks, and follows-up on commitments and action items from meetings. Assists as needed with advance preparations logistics for presidential engagements, meetings, and events. Coordinates office operations including technology, maintenance, security, purchasing, etc. Act as the proxy for Chief of Staff, as requested. May supervise a small staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.
A bachelor's degree and four years of progressively responsible administrative, operational or related experience related to executive functions, preferably in a higher education environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. A master's degree is preferred. Strong analytical, research and project management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
