Job Description Primary role is coordinating film-based and PACS-related workflow in the Image Service Center and/or radiology records file room. Provides back-up supervisory support for the Image Service Center and/or radiology records file room. Provides direction and assists staff in accessing the PACS patient demographic database for electronic image retrieval, image distribution, CD creation, film digitization, and film printing. Assists PACS Support Team in providing training for new Imaging Service staff and Records Assistants and re-training of existing staff. Assists physicians and clinical staff in retrieving and displaying digital images via the web-based PACS application. Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Two years of experience in a hospital or outpatient clinic radiology department file room or related healthcare experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of radiology department workflow and various imaging modalities preferred. Familiarity with specific radiology information applications such as IDXrad preferred. Basic computer knowledge e.g. the ability to use a keyboard, mouse, and video display terminal to receive, retrieve and/or audit information and data. Good written/oral and analytical skills required.
