Job Description:

The Department of Neurology at Emory and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Emory / Georgia Tech is seeking qualified candidates for the position of postdoctoral fellow working in the area of imaging informatics. The candidate will work with the academic team at Emory and their industrial partner Kitware, Inc. to build open source software for digital pathology image analysis. This position will involve development of image analysis software, interfaces, and algorithms and providing inputs on system-level design, and solutions for scalable management, visualization and analysis of images. Candidate should have documented experience working with web development, databases and have strong software engineering skills. Applicants with backgrounds in computer science and engineering are encouraged to apply. Performance with high performance computing and/or cloud environments would also be preferred. This position is a full-time opportunity that provides up to 3 years of support.

-PhD in computer science or engineering

-Web and Database development ( mySQL, jQuery, MongoDB, etc)

-Experience computing with large-scale datasets

-Strong software engineering skills. Experience working on team development projects.

-Python and C/C+Desired:
