Job Description The registered nurse, under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor and/or Clinical Manager, provides clinical care and/or support activities appropriate to the patient population served in an outpatient physician office setting. In conjunction with physicians and staff, support, plan, and implement the appropriate patient care evaluation and/or treatment. Obtain medical history and evaluates the overall health status of the individual. Performs preoperative evaluations and assist the physician with patients in the office setting. Directs and assists in carrying out safe aseptic technique and procedures. Offers leadership and direction to medical assistants. Participates as a team member in the patient¿s plan of care. Provides support and acts as a resource for physicians and other healthcare providers as necessary. This position provides on call and hospital rounding coverage for physicians. Complies with department policies and procedures, and supports organzitions philosophy. All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Georgia State license. Membership in a professional organization preferred. Two years of nursing experience in an outpatient physician office setting. BCLS certified. Gynecology oncology experience preferred.
