The Specialty Coordinator, Pediatric Acute Care, provides vital leadership for the pediatric acute care nurse practitioner specialty within the MSN program. The Specialty Coordinator would have primary responsibility for the planning, implementing, evaluating, and managing of this graduate specialty major, including mentoring of specialty faculty, advising students, and collaborating with the clinical site coordinators to develop and evaluate clinical sites in collaboration with the specialty coordinator for the pediatric primary care nurse practitioner program. The Specialty Coordinator is accountable for the viability, quality, legal and professional compliance of the specialty. The Specialty Coordinator is expected to be a role model for clinical scholarship and leadership in the School and within their specialty organizations. The Specialty Coordinator would work closely with the Associate Dean for Graduate Education regarding the day-to-day management and implementation of the program, as well as curricular, programmatic, and student issues, and with the Associate Dean for Academic Advancement on other aspects of their faculty role.

Specialty Coordinator, Pediatric Acute Care (Faculty position)
This position involves::
• Must hold a doctorate in nursing or related field
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an RN/APRN in the State of Georgia
• Five or more years of Pediatric Acute Care clinical practice and education experience.
• Prior leadership experience in an academic setting and
• Prior program coordination experience preferred.
