Plans, directs and evaluates administrative and technical services for the Laboratory.
Directs daily staff activities to ensure a high quality of service.
Assists in the development of the department¿s budget, policies, and procedures.
May hire, supervise laboratory staff and conduct staff evaluations.
Will assist in inventory control, expense management and strategic planning.
In conjunction with investigators and staff, will develop protocol and specialized procedures for unique tests.
Ensures compliance with standards and requirements established by regulatory and certifying agencies.
Works with department leaders and staff to continuously improve laboratory operations and promote efficiency.
Interface with clinical disciplines that interact with lab and receive lab services.
Monitors laboratory operations and oversees caseload management.
Develops laboratory policies and procedures and reviews quality control activities to comply with regulatory guidelines.
Reviews all new protocols submitted to Scientific Advisory Committee for lab resource requests.
Evaluates resource requests to ensure appropriate lab processing and storage protocols can be met.
Performs related responsibilities as required.
A bachelor's degree in business or related field. Five years of professional experience in a related field such as business administration, research, or information systems management.
Requires previous supervisory and program/project management experience.
