Lead and support program(s) including developing tools, resources and timelines as needed to ensure program success. Conduct assessments, gather and interpret data, produce reports and provide solutions to support the success of the program. Initiate and conduct assessments through collecting and analyzing data to identify program needs, gaps and make recommendations for improvements. Advise management on issues and matters of significance related to current program success and future initiatives. Establish schedules, oversee arrangements and provide logistics support for events, conferences, meetings, seminars and other venues as requested. Gather and coordinate dissemination of information regarding new or revised policies and procedures, respond to inquiries regarding departmental policies and procedures and make referrals when appropriate. May manage projects related to student progress, enrollment, registration and recruitment. May manage databases and budgets related to project(s) and event(s). May serve as liaison and facilitator among program faculty, students, and administrations to resolve registration, admissions and other program related concerns. May serve as a brand ambassador by representing the University at recruitment events, conferences, meetings, seminars and other events. May be required to present and speak at events. All other duties as assigned.


Coordinates activities related to two PhD programs and assists program faculty and students. Maintains files and assists program faculty in making sure that students complete appropriate forms and that requirements are met. Communicates with prospective applicants, students and faculty. Manages recruitment activities, including organizing travel, accommodations, and visitation schedules for those who interview. Coordinates orientation for incoming students. Assists with the qualifying exam, program meetings, and the distribution of class and grade rosters. Submits expense reimbursements and monitors the program budget. May update the program website, manage listservs, organize a program retreat, and arrange the program seminar series, which could involve making travel arrangements for outside speakers. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Program Director, or as needed by program faculty or students. The job requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, initiative, the ability to multi-task and complete projects in a timely manner, and the ability to independently manage projects and on going tasks. The job also requires strong communication skills, both written and oral.


Bachelor's degree in a field related to specified program areas and five years related program management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
