Emory University Assertive Community Treatment Psychiatrist in Atlanta, Georgia
Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking qualified candidates at the Assistant and/or Associate Professor (M.D.) rank to lead one of three Assertive Community Treatment teams. The successful candidate should be board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry. The successful candidate would join our Behavioral Health Community team at Grady Memorial Hospital treating high need indigent, mentally ill adults as part of a multidisciplinary team to facilitate consumer recovery and reduce or eliminate psychiatric hospitalizations and/or incarceration. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide leadership related to the treatment plan, perform assessments, prescribe medication, and evaluate progress. The applicant will have the opportunity to supervise residents and students, as well as participate in relevant clinical research. It is also expected that physicians model leadership to Grady staff and promote a culture of a high performing team that works both independently and together to efficiently and effectively meet patient needs.
