JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Manages the on-campus recruiting program for a school or division

  • Develops the overall recruitment strategy

  • Establishes and maintains corporate contacts with directors, human resources managers and vice presidents

  • Serves as the primary liaison between corporate recruiters, students and the career center

  • Determines employer needs and manages the logistics of the on-campus recruiting program including interviews, corporate presentations and job fairs

  • Resolves space, equipment and scheduling issues

  • Develops strategies to ensure effective communication between students, recruiters and the career center

  • Prepares statistical reports to track student placements and other trends

  • Manages web based student software that communicates on-campus recruiting information to students

  • Coordinates special projects as necessary

  • Supervises student staff

  • Performs related responsibilities as required

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership in program planning and technical support for the Rollins Earn and Learn (internal work study program), Applied Practical Experience (APE), and Global Field Experiences (GFE), Coverdell Fellowship Program, and school-wide practicum safety training, including proposal review and program development activities

  • Creation of pre-departure safety training for APE, GFE, and other school sanctioned experiential activities for graduate professional students

  • Partnership development for practice related opportunities for students, including student practicum (Applied Practical Experience), Rollins Earn and Learn, and Global Field Experiences, and other programming

  • Engage with faculty/staff and student stakeholders at all levels and across units of the organizationMay supervise graduate student assistants

  • Support activities of the Associate Director as needed with employer outreach, partnerships and events

  • Ability to work occasional evenings, some weekends during academic year

  • Offer career advisement to students and alumni

  • Support efforts, events and programs across the RSPH Admission and Student Services enterprise

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree

  • Two years of experience in career planning and placement or a related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master of Public Health or Master of Science in Public Health degree from an accredited school or program or related degree program

  • Four years of experience in career planning and placement or a related field

  • Demonstrated experience in the development of partnerships and/or client/stakeholder relations, working with diverse populations

  • Experience or training in risk communications and curriculum development on safety

  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify solutions to problems

  • Student advisement experience with graduate professional populations

  • Demonstrated experience in event management

  • Exceptional technical assistance skills: process improvement, survey design, program evaluation, website content maintenance and database management, and related software programs,such as Excel

  • Experience living/working/or traveling abroad, preferably in a low resource setting is helpful, not required

  • Excellent written, verbal and facilitation skills
