Clinical Research Track Assistant Professor of Behavioral Sciences and Health Education

Supported by The Center for Reproductive Health Research in the Southeast (RISE), the Clinical Research Track Assistant Professor will provide leadership for conceptualizing and conducting analyses about reproductive health in the Southeast, with specific focus on abortion access, policies and stigma, and for writing related papers and grant proposals. Position could also include work developing and implementing pilot studies. The successful candidate will have expertise in: the study of health-related stigmas, particularly as they relate to psychological and reproductive health service utilization and health outcomes, and in the identification of strategies by which to address the health effects of stigma; studying health disparities in reproductive health; applying multilevel models, other advanced statistical techniques; and preparing manuscripts for high-impact peer-reviewed journals. Applicants should have peer-reviewed publications on related topics and should have a PhD or DrPH in public health, sociology, or a related discipline at the time they apply.
