Description

Working within the Office of the Registrar Oversees the management and supervision of key operational areas within the Office of the Registrar to ensure compliance with state, federal laws and regulations, and University policies.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Serves as point person for Emory‚Äôs Course Atlas, a comprehensive class search tool.

  • As frontline client support, effectively engages with Emory University schools and departments to ensure syllabi and promoted courses are posted to the Course Atlas

  • Reviews, evaluates issues or concerns for all matters related to Course Atlas

  • Serves as point person for Testing and Evaluation Services.

  • Responsible for processing and scoring exams and surveys for all schools.

  • Collaborates with faculty and staff to ensure all exam information is submitted and retrieved in accordance with FERPA regulations.

  • Determines best practices for processing and scoring exams.

  • Serves as point person for EvaluationKit, an online course evaluations tool.

  • Responsible for onboarding new schools for EvaluationKit.

  • Provides general support, troubleshooting, and training for EvaluationKit.

  • Conducts bench marking analyses to stay abreast of advances to testing and evaluation practices and processes.

  • compliance with state, federal laws and regulations, and University policies.

  • Effectively engages with Emory University schools and departments related to academic records related information.

  • Ensures academic records are properly maintained for all current and former students.

  • Conducts bench marking analyses with peer institutions to stay abreast of best practices and policies.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree and two years of experience in student records, records compliance, higher education or a related field.

  • Working knowledge of student records information systems.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including proofreading and editing skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong background in PeopleSoft and other related computer software including PC experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Access.

  • Results Oriented Leadership

  • Crisis management skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to keep motivated and engaged

  • Knowledge related to FERPA compliance, adherence, and enforcement

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
