SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Candidate will participate in the clinical education, training and development of Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery residents through practice-site rotation activities and conferences. CLINICAL ROLE: • Serves as a cardiothoracic surgeon within the Department of Surgery’s Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery with an active inpatient and outpatient practice. • Participates in the clinical education, training and development of Cardiothoracic Surgery residents through practice-site rotation activities and conferences. • Participates in the development of unique clinical and basic research specific to Cardiothoracic Surgery. • Participates in the Administrative operations of the Sub-Division/Division/Department/Clinic/University based upon assignments determined by the Division Chief and/or Sub-Division Chief.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: • Board certified or Board-eligible in Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. • Must possess a valid unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Georgia. • Must possess a valid controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate. • Must sign the Non-Compete Agreement of The Emory Clinic, Inc. as a condition of employment.
