Emory University Assistant/Associate Professor, Laryngology Faculty-Otolaryngology in Atlanta, Georgia


The Emory Voice Center of Emory University’s Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery seeks a full-time BC/BE fellowship trained laryngologist to join a robust team and serve as director of the dysphagia program. The applicant should be trained and experienced in all aspects of laryngology, with a special interest in dysphagia care. An appointment at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor is anticipated, depending upon the candidate’s qualifications. The Emory Voice Center is a multidisciplinary organization staffed by specialists in Laryngology and Speech-Language Pathology. Founded in 2003, the Emory Voice Center has an international reputation for the diagnosis and treatment of voice, swallowing, and upper airway disorders. The highly motivated team has long been actively involved in academic, research, and professional endeavors at the national and international levels. Together with the entire team, the successful candidate will further develop a world-class, multidisciplinary dysphagia program and help guide the organization’s clinical, research, and program development efforts. Opportunities to teach medical students, residents and fellows, and participate in scholarly activities.

The position comprises a clinical appointment in the Department of Otolaryngology-HNS at a level commensurate with credentials and experience, as well as an academic appointment in the Emory University School of Medicine. The job provides a competitive 12-month salary with excellent benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:


• Laryngology fellowship

• Eligibility for licensure in the state of Georgia

• Strong research and publication history, experience in clinical and research mentorship, a national reputation among colleagues within the laryngology community, and an interest in a leadership role developing a clinical dysphagia program
