Emory University Assistant/Associate Professor (Surg Onc/Gen Surg-Hepatobiliary) in atlanta, Georgia


Serve as an oncologist or general surgeon for the Division of Surgical Oncology or General Surgery within the Department of Surgery with an active inpatient and outpatient practice focused on Hepatobiliary surgery primarily at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital.

  • Participate in the clinical education, training and development of residents through practice-site rotation activities and conferences.

  • Participate in the development of unique and collaborative research specific to surgical oncology.

  • Participate in the administrative operations of the Clinic sub-section / section or University division based upon assignments determined by the Section Chief and/or Sub-section Chief.

The minimum qualifications for medical faculty are a doctoral degree from an accredited school, successful completion of an accredited residency program, and Board certification or eligibility, if applicable, in the area of specialization. Completion of a Fellowship, either clinical or research, in an area related to the field of specialization is desirable. Faculty rank will depend on training, experience and professional achievement. Georgia medical licensure, D.E.A. registration, and malpractice insurance coverage must be obtainable. The candidate must be able to demonstrate legal status permitting him/her to work under applicable United States immigration laws.

Board Certified General Surgeon with post-graduate training in Surgical Oncology A valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia A controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate.
