Emory Healthcare/Emory University Associate Director of Programs (Academic Affairs and Enrollment Operations) in Atlanta, Georgia
Directs the strategic planning, development, and implementation of program. Collaborates with representatives from private, government, and international agencies. Represents the program in various national and international fora. Conducts research, designs new initiatives, writes publishable articles and papers, collaborates with others, and designs programs. May supervise staff.
Bachelor's degree in field related to specific program as indicated and five years program related experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. Master's degree preferred.
This position is within the Rollins School of Public Health Office of Admission and Student Services. This office serves over 1100 graduate professional students primarily in the master’s program and provides some support for the doctoral program housed under the Laney Graduate School. The school is co-located in two adjoining buildings, The Grace Crum Rollins Building and the Claudia Nance Rollins Building with a third building to be completed in 2022, the R. Randall Rollins Building. RSPH is currently ranked #5 nationally through US News & World Report.
Primary responsibilities include:
Supports academic leadership through effective tactical guidance around academic policies & procedures, retention, enrollment operations and academic support services.
Oversees registration, course scheduling process across 6 departments and distance learning program
Champions change management initiatives in the spirit of process improvement
Supervises professional staff with attention to professional development of unit
Ensures compliance with federal and university policies
Custodian for student records and record retention policies
Manages financial aid postings and scholarships for continuing students and supports efforts around financial literacy and insecurity
Provides leadership and oversight for student academic support services, including tutoring and writing support
Manages facilities utilization and assignments for classroom instructional space
Training and communication on policies, procedures or practices for faculty, staff and students
Supports academic advisement through development of best practices modalities
Serves as liaison with central enrollment services offices including Registrar, Student Financial Services and Financial Aid
Assists senior administration with managing the course evaluation process
Assists with the development of a robust platform for managing and analyzing indicators of school effectiveness including oversight of annual reporting
Provides input and support for the implementation of Interfolio (a faculty activity reporting system) at RSPH
A minimum of 7-10 years academic/enrollment related advising experience, preferably in a graduate professional school
Innovative thinker with demonstrated experience in enhancing processes/procedures/systems
Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate others
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Collaborative individual with proven ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders, including faculty, staff and students
Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Experience working with graduate level and dual enrollment students
Experience with the development of new academic programs
Attention to detail with the ability to navigate from a big picture perspective
Systems experience in Peoplesoft Student Administration, R25, Courseleaf, Excel and other related software
