The shift for this position is 11a-7p.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • The Assistant Director (AD) of Clinical Resource Center serves on the leadership team and has operational responsibility for all teams within the Center.

  • Must successfully operate in a very active, complex, demanding and production-oriented environment.

  • Must be creative in providing highly innovative staffing and patient flow solutions.

  • Must be able to align with entity leadership and become fully engaged in the staffing and patient placement decisions for the entity to ensure all needs are met in a timely manner.

  • Establishes and maintains excellent business partnership with key stakeholders.

  • The AD will report to and assist the Director of Clinical Resource Center by providing operational support and leadership for Bed Placement, the ICU triage and Bed Placement Team, Centralized nursing staffing office, Mental Health Associates, and the Administrative Nursing Supervisor Team.

  • The above teams will report directly to the AD.

  • Provides onsite administrative support for the Electronic patient placement system, and the electronic nursing scheduling system.

  • The AD will provide oversight of clinical and non-clinical staff and operations, will also serve as a liaison with various departments, providers and the transfer service.

  • Support will be provided by a thorough knowledge of EHC policies, procedures and human resource management.

  • This position will serve as the leader for educational initiatives and support teams with operational implementation of programs related to clinical support staff procedures, standardization, competency and quality initiatives.

  • Responsible for overseeing new staff orientation and on-going education and training of teams in the department.

  • The AD will assist with planning capital, staffing and operational budgets for practices.

  • The AD will serve on various clinical and operational committees and teams and will have strong emphasis on relationship building and change management.

  • Help develop departmental short and long term goals and objectives and analyze departmental strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and constraints.

  • Identify measurable objectives and monitor progress toward the achievement of specified goals in keeping with operational standards.

  • This position may fill in for the center¿s staff and directly provide ICU bed placement or admin supervision as needed.

  • Perform other related duties/responsibilities as directed by the Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters degree required.

  • Either Bachelors or Masters degree must be in Nursing.

  • An unencumbered GA or compact state nursing license is required. 3-5 years of healthcare experience and two (2) years of leadership required.

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

(Medium-Heavy) 36-75 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 20-35 lbs, 34-66% of the workday; (frequently); 10-20 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 75 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 35 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking; Occasional sitting; Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing); Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.

Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure; Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors; Communicable diseases; Electrical shock; Floor Surfaces; Hot/Cold Temperatures; Indoor/Outdoor conditions; Latex; Lighting; Patient care/handling injuries; Radiation; Shift work; Travel may be required; Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators; environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
