Description

The Emory University School of Medicine Department of Neurology is seeking a neuro-oncologist at the level of Assistant Professor. The neuro-oncologist will be responsible for enhancing interdisciplinary care with Emory faculty and staff in the Departments of Neurosurgery, Hematology and Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and the Winship Cancer Institute, and ensuring a quality, evidence-based, multi-disciplinary practice congruent with general standards in the Winship Cancer Institute, and providing continuous care for patients in partnership with colleagues. The neuro-oncologist will interact closely with the brain cancer team and referring physicians to enlarge the patient referral base. This position will also participate as a rotating on-site medical supervisor of the Winship Ambulatory Infusion Centers on Clifton Road. Research related responsibilities will include orignating and opening clinical trials, enroling patients, disseminating scholarly work through peer-reviewed publications, meeting presentations, etc. This position will also engage in the training of students, residents, and fellows.

Candidates should be board certified or eligible and be able to obtain medical licensure in the State of Georgia.
