The Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine is looking for a qualified Plastic Surgeon to join our faculty. This is a full time position in the Division of Plastic Surgery, Department of Surgery, Emory University School of Medicine at the rank of assistant or associate professor.

-SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Serve as an attending plastic and reconstructive surgeon at The Emory Clinic (50%) and Veterans Affairs Medical Center (50%), and other sites that may be deemed necessary by the Section Chief over time. Clinical responsibilities will be dedicated to all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery including microsurgery for oncological and traumatic deformities. Research responsibilities will include: o Consolidating clinical research data management o Leading monthly research meetings o Establishing research expectations among residents o Coordinating abstract submissions to regional and national meetings for entire Division Participate in the clinical education, training and development of residents through practice-site rotation activities and conferences. Oversee the clinical and translational research mission specific to plastic & reconstructive surgery.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: A valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia ¿ A controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate Hand fellowship trained The minimum qualifications for medical faculty are a doctoral degree from an accredited school, successful completion of an accredited residency program, and Board certification or eligibility, if applicable, in the area of specialization. Completion of a Fellowship, either clinical or research, in an area related to the field of specialization is desirable. Faculty rank will depend on training, experience and professional achievement. Georgia medical licensure, D.E.A. registration, and malpractice insurance coverage must be obtainable.
