  • The Audio-Visual Technician will be responsible for setting up, managing, and operating audio-visual systems for various events.

  • Performs scheduled inventory audits, preventive maintenance, software, and firmware updates on AV equipment.

  • Helps develop best practices for the operation of audio-visual systems and student staff training.

  • Provides requested advice and top-tier customer services to community members.

  • Supports student staff with setups for users in event spaces and conference rooms.

  • Sets up and monitors AV systems for outdoor events.

  • Sets up video conferencing on both permanent and mobile systems.

  • Helps with design and publishing of digital signage content.

  • Performs other related duties as required.


  • A high school diploma or equivalent and three years of related multimedia experience.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on customers' needs.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the purpose and function of a wide variety of audio-visual equipment.

  • Experience providing audio-visual support in diverse technical environments.

  • Knowledge of basic audio-visual and IT troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with PA and projection system setups and installations.


  • A bachelor's or associate degree in a technology-related field.

  • CTS certification.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
