Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Supports efforts to ensure that information systems support departmental objectives and information management needs.

  • Works closely with departmental customers to conduct business analysis and identify business objectives and requirements.

  • Collects information to assist in the development of technology plans and strategies.

  • Assists in planning and implementing systems related projects.

  • Supports customer satisfaction by monitoring the delivery of ongoing information services to designated clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five years of position specific subject matter knowledge and/or experience in planning and applying information technology to one or more business functions OR

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of position specific subject matter knowledge and/or experience in planning and applying information technology to one or more business functions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous related work experience in healthcare or clinical research industry (including prior use of clinical data/database,Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) and/or research specimen tracking systems) or an applied data management services role.

  • Prior project management experience of complex matrix projects.

  • Familiarity/comfort with web-enabled technologies and software and demonstrated ability to communicate with both the business teams and IT teams to explain requirements and understand the business implications of technical decisions.

  • Understanding of IRB, HIPAA, and privacy protection compliance standards in human subject and clinical research.

  • Excellent organizational and analytic skills, with the proven ability to multi-task, troubleshoot and prioritize work.

  • Previous experience with highly communicative, collaborative, and engaging customer service approach in support of researchsoftware applications.

  • Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
