The Rollins School of Publich Health: Epidemiology department is looking for a skilled Clinical Research Interviewer to collect data and recruit participants for an in-home study about their environment, sleep, and blood pressure. This position will include data collection in the homes of participants, which will occur between 6pm and 11pm. The candidate will verbally administer questionnaires, collect anthropometry measures, and connect participant to sleep devices as well as blood pressure cuff. The person will start the day at Rollins to gather materials for the visit and initialize equipment, and the day will end at Rollins with downloading the data (to a computer) and storing equipment.

The selected candidate will be required to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Identifies, contacts, corresponds with and interviews research study participants, either in person, in a clinical setting, at a subject's residence or by telephone to obtain data for an assigned research project.

  • Collects, codes and enters study information into database and may assist in data compilation.

  • Edits completed interview questionnaires for completeness, legibility and accuracy.

  • Obtains missing or questionable data.

  • Maintains complete and accurate records and files pertaining to one or more research studies.

  • Performs related approved non-clinical responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent. One year of administrative support, customer service or other relevant experience. Data entry experience. Note - In the clinical setting, this research role is limited to no more than casual physical contact with the research subject and no invasive or diagnostic procedures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must have transportation, but will be partnered with another staff person for the study visits, as well as available during the evenings and occasional weekends. At least 1 year of research experience is required-either recruitment and/or data collection. Must be proficient in Microsoft office.
