The Translational Research in Affective Disorders Laboratory in the Department of Psychology at Emory University is recruiting for a Clinical Research Specialist.

The Clinical Research Specialist will assist with all aspects of the research process (designing/programming experiments, recruiting/running participants, analyzing behavioral and neuroimaging data). More information about current studies can be found at treadlab.org .

This is an excellent position for anyone seeking research experience and training in clinical and cognitive neuroscience before applying to graduate programs. The candidate will primarily work on a clinical drug trial involving extensive medical and psychiatric screening and be responsible for all NIH and Emory regulatory documentation.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in a scientific field OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in cognitive science, neuroscience, computer science, psychology, math, biology, or related field.

  • Strong computer programming skills (especially MATLAB and/or Python) are desired.

  • Candidate should be self-motivated, independent, and reliable.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills are also desired.

  • Prior experience in human affective, clinical or cognitive neuroscience (e.g., conducting and analyzing fMRI or MRI studies), behavioral experiment administration, IRB management, or clinical interviewing experience will all be viewed positively.
