Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Consults with management and staff to design, develop and maintain a website.

  • Develops, writes and edits various communications materials including correspondence, newsletters, brochures and articles.

  • Develops and maintains effective methods for distributing communication materials and information.

  • Maintains required record-keeping and documentation.

  • May train staff in the use of communications technology.

  • May utilize various aspects of social media to accomplish work objectives.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Excel.Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated with experience in facilitating projects from concept to completion. Knowledge of and appreciation for classical, vocal, jazz, and world music.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Concert Program Design and Production: Establish, communicate, schedule, and direct the workflow for the creation and printing of concert programs; maintain communication with all stakeholders involved in the production process, including faculty members, external agency representatives, editors, students, and administrative staff.

  • Annual Music Brochure: Develop, design, and manage the production of the annual music brochure and related collateral materials.

  • Student Employee Supervision: Hire, train, and schedule student employee. Supervise student employee during the concert program production process.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
