Description

The communications specialist will be responsible for a range of tasks supporting school-wide marketing and communication plans. This position will report to both the director of strategic content and communications and the director of marketing and communications.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Consults with management and staff to design, develop and maintain a website.

  • Develops, writes and edits various communications materials including correspondence, newsletters, brochures and articles.

  • Develops and maintains effective methods for distributing communication materials and information.

  • Maintains required record-keeping and documentation.

  • May train staff in the use of communications technology.

  • May utilize various aspects of social media to accomplish work objectives.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

  • Supporting the integrated communication and promotion of school-wide marketing and communication plans.

  • Developing, writing, and editing various communications materials including correspondence, newsletters, brochures, and articles.

  • Updating the school’s website to educate and to promote activities and programs.

  • Developing reports and recommendations to sustain high quality.

  • Assisting with developing content calendars.

  • Assisting with the organization of digital assets, including photography.

  • May be responsible for creating social media posts and supporting the school’s social media strategy.

  • Conducting market research and regularly reviewing website and social media analytics to gauge performance.

  • Performing related responsibilities as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University location as needed. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
