Emory Specialty Associates (ESA) or Faculty
The role is of attending psychiatrist responsible for providing psychiatric consults and as needed coverage for the EDH Psychiatry 18-bed inpatient unit. Clinical care would be divided between inpatient consults at EDH, EHH, and ELTAC which include the Emergency Departments at EDH and EHH. Call requirements for these hospitals is a maximal of 4 days per month covering the Psychiatry inpatient unit, EDs, and hospital consults. This individual would cross-cover with the EDH inpatient psychiatrist(s) and other C/L psychiatrist(s) for service coverage during vacation, CME, and other times.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have consultation & liaison psychiatry training and/or inpatient psychiatry training. The candidate should have the ability to successfully work in a complex environment and to communicate effectively. An MD degree is required as is ABPN board certification (or in the process of obtaining within 2 years of hire) in general psychiatry; ABPN board certification in C/L is desired.
