JOB DESCRIPTION:

Designs, implements, and coordinates operational facets of a specific program. Develops strategic plans and objectives that ensure the program's continued success, and develops evaluation methods to assess outcomes. Conducts program research and ensures that the preparation of mandatory operational, statistical, and financial reports are accurate and factual, and that all reports comply with federal and state regulations and/or institutional policies. Designs training programs and materials, conducts training sessions, and represents the program at various conferences, meetings, or seminars. May plan, administer, or monitor the program's budget and/or grants, and conduct financial forecasting for the program. May develop fundraising programs, including researching and identifying funding sources, and writing and submitting grant proposals. Serves as a liaison to and interacts with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the program; may write and present speeches. Maintains complete and accurate program records. May serve on or chair various University committees. May supervise program staff, interns, and/or volunteers. Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a field related to specified program areas and five years related program management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Additional Details

With minimal supervision, the Senior Program Coordinator works closely with the Executive Director, Occupational Health and leaders of Emory Health and Occupational Injury Management (OIM) to coordinate the program and its related activities, including establishing long term objectives, researching factors that may impact the success of the program, developing promotional materials/venues, managing related databases/reports, establishing/forecasting budget requirements, scheduling meetings and conference calls including securing meeting locations, preparing meeting materials, if appropriate.

Additional Job Details :

  • Manage HOME (Health and Occupational Medicine at Emory) data base and serve as point of contact for HOME reports. Respond appropriately to inquiries from the HOME email account.

  • Manage Departmental customer surveys (Employee Health and Occupational Injury Management), review results and summarize identified topics for process improvement.

  • Serve as a project manager for programs within Emory Health and Occupational Injury.

  • Manage meeting minutes for various departmental meetings to accurately record meeting decisions and follow up items.

  • Develop departmental standard operating procedures for Occupational Health.

  • Plan and organize employee recognition programs for Occupational Health staff.

  • Manage the tracking of Occupational Health Departmental annual goals.

  • Serve as operational point of contact for staff schedules needed to operate the clinic setting

  • Serves as operational support to leadership of Emory Health and Occupational Injury, including the Executive Director Occupational Health; Corporate Director, Occupational Injury Management; Corporate Director, Employee Health & Centralized Leave Team; Executive Director, WorksWell and Wellness on Wheels.

  • Responsible for scheduling events/meetings for Employee Health and Occupational Injury Management.

  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in analyzing reports and identifying trends using excel. Experience in an academic medical center setting with matrixed reporting relationships is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills are required. Attention to detail and strong computer software skills are necessary to develop and present critical, confidential information. He/she must bring exceptional integrity, intelligence, maturity and successful experience navigating complex organizational settings. He/she must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment, make sound judgments, handle confidential information and be a creative, energetic problem solver.
