Description

We are a lab within the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Emory University dedicated to advancing research in Maternal-infant health. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to utilizing computational image methods, genetic analysis, and statistical techniques to understand the complexities of early brain development.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Creates and maintains a data dictionary and meta data.

  • Supports efforts to ensure that data standards are developed and maintained.

  • Ensures that the uses of data through reports and queries are accurate.

  • Supports business and system re-engineering and architecture development to define future data needs.

  • Serves as an organizational consultant on matters relating to databases by providing expertise to assist users in meeting their needs.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Manage, organize, and clean various datasets related to maternal-infant health.

  • Utilize computational image methods and modeling techniques to analyze imaging data.

  • Conduct genetic analysis, including polygenic risk score calculations, to investigate genetic factors influencing brain development.

  • Perform statistical analysis and thoroughly document analysis results for research publications and presentations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree and one year of experience in data analysis, statistics, or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, shell scripting, and MATLAB.

  • Strong background in data analysis, statistics, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • A Master’s degree is preferred.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
