JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Manages and oversees the day-to-day support of the Degree Audit Reporting System (Degree Tracker) processing for the University.

  • Encodes all University, college, and degree requirements, and provides problem analysis and resolutions for end users.

  • Ensures the accuracy of degree requirements and content.

  • Participates in the development and enhancement of on-line applications as well as in the resolution of degree audit system problems and issues.

  • Serves as the unit's principal point of technical and operational support with respect to data management and database administration.

  • Provides system training for the staff and the University Community in using the Degree Tracker system and the policies and procedures of the University and the Registrar's Office.

  • Coordinates and participates in the planning, development, implementation, documentation, administration, and maintenance of the Degree Audit Reporting System (Degree Tracker) for the University; serves as the main contact for staff regarding all matters affecting the Degree Audit part of the Degree Tracker system.

  • Participates in and coordinates the development of test cases and test scripts for system testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing according to test plans.

  • Validates detailed test cases are properly executed to ensure software and reports are functioning properly.

  • Oversees the definition and maintenance of the database structure and content for all of the academic requirements including the departmental requirements, and college requirements, including all graduate level programs.

  • Contributes and coordinates the implementation of projects and work requests related to the student information system.

  • Provides technical and functional support to the University-wide community using the degree audit system.

  • Researches and performs in depth detail analysis of business requirements, analyzes/builds complex functional designs for all institution's academic programs; works closely with curriculum forms that have been submitted and approved by the Registrar's Office to ensure accuracy.

  • Processes degree requirement exceptions to academic programs and makes any necessary updates to the student on-line degree audit to ensure the accuracy of the degree audit reports; works with curriculum forms that have been submitted and approved by the Registrar's Office to ensure the correct information is updated.

  • Works closely with the academic advisors, colleges, departments, and University offices, to ensure the accuracy of degree requirements, core curriculum data, and college requirements, as well as working to resolve any degree audit situations for students, faculty, and staff.

  • Develops and prepares appropriate materials to promote the degree audit system to the University community including training materials, handouts, reference guides, and forms.

  • Conducts monthly training session for university employees on accessing the degree audit system.

  • Oversees the development and administration of operating policies and procedures concerning the degree audit system; reviews and advises on applicable rules, regulations, guidelines, and University policies.

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for the University branch campuses using the degree audit system; assists the branches with degree audit system knowledge and provides problem-resolution with encoding, exceptions, curriculum and/or degree programs; responsible for branch campuses curriculum updates in the Degree Tracker system tables.

  • Maintains currency of professional knowledge; participates in the evaluation of new technologies, and in the implementation of updated versions of the Degree Tracker systems.

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of specific subject matter knowledge and/or experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
