Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking a part-time (0.5 FTE) psychiatrist at the Assistant and/or Associate Professor rank to join a Coordinated Specialty Care team for people with first episode psychosis. The successful candidate should be board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry. The successful candidate would join our Behavioral Health Community team at Grady Health System treating high need, mentally ill adults as part of a multidisciplinary team to facilitate consumer recovery and reduce or eliminate psychiatric hospitalizations and/or incarceration. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide leadership related to the treatment plan, perform assessments, prescribe medication, and evaluate progress. The applicant will have the opportunity to supervise residents and students, as well as participate in clinical research. It is also expected that physicians model leadership to Grady staff and promote a culture of a high performing team that works both independently and together to efficiently and effectively meet patient needs. Preferred candidates will have previous CSC experience, two years of experience working with people with severe mental illness, pertinent research experience, and/or graduate from a community psychiatry program.
