Emory Healthcare is looking for a dynamic Director, Talent Acquisition to drive end-to-end recruitment for Nursing and Nursing Support across the system. This leader acts as a strategic business partner to understand Emory Healthcare's nursing staffing demands and develops proactive, innovative recruitment strategies to attract and hire diverse and top talent, while partnering with our CNOs and clinical leaders.This role directly supervises a team of 5 TA Leaders and Nurse Resident recruitment team, with a total team of 25+ TA Partners responsible for the end-to-end recruitment; providing leadership for department and system, coaching, development and training, performance evaluations and disciplinary action and other supervisory duties for staff.

  • Drives innovative recruitment strategies to support the needs of the business and growth.

  • Lead, empower, develop and mentor a diverse talent acquisition team that is capable to perform in a high paced environment.

  • Collaborate and meet with hiring managers and executive leaders to assess talent acquisition performance and outcomes and improve overall recruitment effectiveness.

  • Partner and collaborate with operational leaders, HR Business Partners, and stakeholders.

  • Identify, analyze, and report on data including candidate funnel metrics and other recruitment key performance indicators to understand impact on Talent Acquisition outcomes and take action to improve metrics and resolve challenges.

  • Develop and maintain understanding of our business, the market, competition and emerging trends within industry and the Talent Acquisition practice.

  • Proactively creates and implements strong recruitment strategies to effectively achieve bold hiring goals.

  • Facilitates and leads teams and projects.

  • Represents Emory Healthcare at various operational and system meetings.

  • Supports Emory Healthcare inclusiveness and diversity efforts.

  • Problem solves requests and employee and recruitment issues. Performs other duties as required.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field required.

  • Fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition; Eight (8) plus years in Leadership.

  • Direct Nursing recruitment experience required.

  • Innovative, dynamic leader with team building experience and business partner attributes.

  • Demonstrated experience in full desk recruitment including knowledge of sourcing strategies, candidate assessment techniques, and job offer negotiation skills, and consultative partnership.

  • Comfortability in interpreting and analyzing data. Experience in team building and mentorship.

  • Experience with applicant tracking, CRM, HRIS, and/or customer tracking databases to manage data and candidate relationships.

  • Comprehensive understanding of employment laws and regulations, interviewing techniques, selection and hiring processes, practices and strategies.

  • Knowledge and application of Federal and State employment laws, regulations, legislation, affirmative action documentation and applicable data reporting.


  • Strong organizational skills, high skill level in customer service, effective presentation skills.

  • Detail oriented, establish service level agreements and meets and exceeds customer expectations.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, and drive excellence.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including fact finding, influencing, listening and problem solving.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, hiring leaders, vendors and senior leaders across the organization.

  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Ability to influence hiring leaders to move quickly in selection and offer stages to optimize the opportunity to hire top candidates.

  • Intermediate skills, Microsoft Office proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
