Emory University Enterprise PeopleSoft Analyst II (Campus Solutions) in Atlanta, Georgia


JOB DESCRIPTION: * Position only used in the direct management of enterprise-wide PeopleSoft, Human Resources, student and financial systems. * Coordinates efforts to ensure that the Enterprise PeopleSoft systems and third party integrated systems support departmental objectives and information management needs. Promotes and facilitates new functionality or applications through collaboration with University departments. Analyzes business processes, procedures and functions, organizational structures, data collection methods and workflow and audit requirements to determine areas of improvement in processes and system functionality. Supports the federal reporting and strategic planning needs of the University and its departments. Designs, configures, develops, tests and implements approved applications using delivered PeopleSoft tools and functionality, including but not limited to, PS Query, Excel to CI, BI Publisher and Comm Gen. Coordinates testing of regular system updates and corrects functional problems and deficiencies. Troubleshoots systems issues. Develops functional requirements and specifications for enhancements and system modifications with business owners and the Library and Information Technology Division. Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and five years of PeopleSoft or related systems experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Details

Implement new goals and objects for growth in the Office of Financial Aid. Act as a liaison with departments and provide ongoing support to the PeopleSoft Student Administration team.


Financial Aid Specific Responsibilities:

  • Forecast regulatory changes and the business process impacts for Financial Aid.

  • Plan annual and new aid year system activities.

  • Complete new aid year setup.

  • Coordinate changes with the Office of Financial Aid, Campus Solutions technical team and Student Information Systems team.

  • Manage and review the monthly batch schedule to assure completion of processes.

Standard Team Responsibilities:

  • Design enhancements to further strategic goals of divisions in Enrollment Services

  • Resolve problems and manage production support through effective decision making

  • Review and test routine updates from Oracle

  • Work with team to complete deliverables and to integrate new initiatives into current business practices

  • Manage quality assurance for all deliverables

  • Monitor progress, status and resolution of action items and issues

  • Coordinate initiatives with Functional Leads for Financial Aid

  • Communicate appropriate information in an effective and timely manner

  • Assist in identification of scope changes

  • Present all scope changes to SA team

  • Provide sign off for satisfactory deliverables on a timely basis

  • Support future upgrades and training as needed

  • Think strategically about future impacts both internally and to the other modules and assist in making integration work effectively

  • Assist in report writing as needed

  • Manage communication between technical/functional staff

  • Maintain awareness of all issues logged
