This position is a functional support role for the 9.2 PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Student Records and Academic Advising modules and requires experience in business analysis, training, and systems support. This candidate will act in support of the Office of the University Registrar and many offices integrating with student data as well as working closely with the Libraries and Information Technology Division.
Position only used in the direct management of enterprise-wide PeopleSoft, Human Resources, student and financial systems. Coordinates efforts to ensure that the Enterprise PeopleSoft systems and third-party integrated systems support departmental objectives and information management needs. Promotes and facilitates new functionality or applications through collaboration with University departments. Analyzes business processes, procedures and functions, organizational structures, data collection methods and workflow and audit requirements to determine areas of improvement in processes and system functionality. Supports the federal reporting and strategic planning needs of the University and its departments.
Designs, configures, develops, tests and implements approved applications using delivered PeopleSoft tools and functionality, including but not limited to, PS Query, Excel to CI, BI Publisher and Comm Gen. Coordinates testing of regular system updates and corrects functional problems and deficiencies. Troubleshoots systems issues. Develops functional requirements and specifications for enhancements and system modifications with business owners and the Library and Information Technology Division. Performs related responsibilities as required.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Analysis of current business processes to develop systematic process improvements
Provide leadership and motivation for business initiatives
Review new functionality and business changes with the supporting business office
Assist the technical team members in debugging problems in the software for technical and/or functional solutions
Test quarterly software updates
Create design specifications for technical staff
Offer recommendations for process improvements
Perform quality assurance for all deliverables
Plan annual systems activities and federal regulatory changes
Resolve production requests
Coordinate large projects and lead team status meetings
Answer student questions on the use of the university's student self-service site (OPUS)
Coordinate communication between campuses and schools on business process
Maintain set-up tables for the module
Train internal and departmental users
Write systems documentation and maintain systems process schedule
Develop PeopleSoft queries and reports to support the business offices and to diagnose system issues
Manage security and assign access for new users
Escalate service requests of software problems to Oracle/PeopleSoft or other software provider
Experience with enrollment services, financial aid, admissions or student records

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree and five years of PeopleSoft or related systems experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Past experience in higher education is preferred as well as experience within a student enrollment services area, such as Admission, Campus Community, Financial Aid, Student Records, or Student Financials.
Candidates should possess effective oral and written communication skills and work well with employees, students, and parents in a professional manner. This role includes attending meetings at various campus locations.
Experience with PeopleSoft Student Administration/Campus Solutions software (including tools such as XML Publisher, Query Manager), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio) and the Internet preferred.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home temporarily during the COVID-19 pandemic, with intent to return to an Emory University location in the future. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
