JOB DESCRIPTION:

Join our supportive and engaged team of Business Analysts to solve the pressing needs of our world class research University. Our team is vital in continuing to gain efficiencies and reduce work through continual IT process improvement. You will coordinate efforts to help ensure that our Enterprise HR/Payroll system (PeopleSoft) and our third -party IT vendors like Kronos, iCIMS, Workforce Solutions, Virgin Pulse Enterprise Health, Aetna, Fidelity, and Vanguard support campus-wide objectives and information management needs. You will also work closely with Emory identity management solutions and other Emory data integrations to support the needs of the Emory community. This position promotes and facilitates new software functionality and implements new applications through close collaboration with University functional and IT leaders.

  • Analyzes business processes, procedures and functions, organizational structures, data collection methods and workflow and audit requirements to determine areas of improvement in processes and system functionality.

  • Supports the federal reporting and strategic planning needs of the University and its departments.

  • Designs, configures, develops, tests and implements game-changing applications using delivered PeopleSoft tools and functionality, including but not limited to, PS Query, Excel to CI, BI Publisher, and Comm Gen.

  • Coordinates testing of regular system updates and corrects functional problems and deficiencies.

  • Troubleshoots systems issues. Develops functional requirements and specifications for enhancements and system modifications with business owners and Emory‚Äôs central Information Technology Division.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

  • Occasional work at other than normal times may be required based on production support responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

  • This is a remote work eligible position and currently a full remote work position during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree and five years of PeopleSoft HR/Payroll/Finance or related systems experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Experience with configuration of PeopleSoft North American Payroll (Salary Plans, Salary Grades, Pay Schedules, Earnings Codes, Payroll Calendars, Time and Labor, Kronos).

  • Commitment Accounting setup of Department Budgets and Distributions.

  • Opportunity to learn emerging robotic process automation (UIPATH RPA) technology at the business analyst level to aid in business process improvement through the use of software robots (bots) and artificial intelligence (AI)/digital workers.
