At the Emory Centers for Public Health Training and Technical Assistance (Emory Centers), we help our clients and their partners develop the professional skills, evidence-based programs, and policy action needed to build healthier communities. Housed within the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory Centers provides innovative trainings, technical assistance, and materials to build the knowledge and skills to foster strong leadership, increase organizational capacity, and strengthen partnerships. Our clients include state and local departments of health, non-profit organizations, and foundations. Our services span across all public health issues, risk factors, and professional competencies. Our four dedicated subcenters have provided capacity-building and community mobilization services in all 50 states and territories over the last 20 years.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Works with evaluation teams, program staff and external partners to develop comprehensive multi-year program evaluation plans (qualitative and quantitative) and logic models, as well as individual time-limited evaluation projects.

  • Supports the implementation and monitoring of all phases of evaluations, including data collection, analysis, and effective communication of results.

  • Collects primary data through conducting interviews, focus groups, or surveys.

  • Conducts software-supported quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis, literature reviews, and information synthesis.

  • Drafts evaluation reports and develop data visualizations such as with infographics, graphs, and charts to communicate evaluation findings in visually-appealing reports.

  • Manages evaluation task and project management tracking and scheduling, ensuring work products are correct, properly communicated and submitted on time.

  • Supports the dissemination of evaluation findings and recommendations through written summaries, evaluation reports, scientific articles, educational materials, and responses to information requests from partners.

  • Presents program evaluations and findings at partner meetings and at local, state, and national meetings and conferences to technical and non-technical audiences as needed.

  • Works with evaluation teams and partners to interpret and apply evaluation findings to develop action plans and inform programs and quality improvement

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

  • This position will serve as a member of the Emory Center’s subcenter for Program Evaluation and Quality Improvement (PEQI). PEQI dedicated to continuous quality improvement through feedback on how programs, practices, and information systems are working in practice. PEQI provides comprehensive planning and evaluation assistance for programs, projects, grants, coalitions, and information systems. We work collaboratively with our clients to identify effective solutions that enhance the performance of public health professionals and organizations, and the quality of programs and practices. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in evaluation or closely-related field from an accredited institution and three years of professional experience in program evaluation, assessment or quality improvement, or a Master's degree and 6 semester hours in evaluation-specific coursework, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

  • Additional training in evaluation-specific areas such as qualitative analysis, survey design, evaluation frameworks, or data visualization.

  • Experience using programs such as Survey Monkey, Survey Gizmo, Qualtrics, RedCap, or similar applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate certificate in evaluation or closely-related field.

  • Experience with data management and report writing.

  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis.

NOTE: Tasks related to this position can be performed remotely with only occasional visits to an Emory University location. Eastern (EST) time zone business hours may apply.
