JOB DESCRIPTION: School of Law Exam Proctors: Must be available between the hours of 7AM - 7PM for verying shifts to cover exam schedule. Seeking individuals with Law or other graduate degree.

PLEASE READ ADDITIONAL DETAILS (BELOW), FOR JOB DUTIES:

  • Under close supervision, performs basic office administrative duties.

  • Maintains files and records, operates standard office equipment, provides courier services, handles general mailings and monitors supply inventories.

  • May use a computer to enter data, verify and/or research information or generate reports.

  • May gather and collate information.

  • Sets up files and files documents or correspondence.

  • May process incoming mail by opening, dating and distributing it to the appropriate employee.

  • Prepares and mails outgoing correspondence and information. May greet visitors and answer and screen incoming telephone calls by providing information or taking messages and distributing them to the appropriate employee. May type labels, envelopes, routine forms and correspondence. Performs related responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Details

Day before final exam period:

April 19th & 21st

  • Print out exam cover sheets

  • Glue cover sheets onto front of brown envelopes

  • Put brown envelopes with cover sheet facing forward into basket in order of date/time the exam is to be administered

Before exam administration

  • Sharpen pencils

  • Create Exam packets

Exam administration

April 23rd - May 5th

  • Take exam packet, luggage tag, “Exams in Progress” sign, and tape and proceed to location, as indicated on cover sheet, where exam is to be administered and meet student

  • Confirm identity of student and exam s/he will be taking

  • Help student log in to EBB (Electronic Blue Book); make sure that correct exam is selected from dropdown

  • Collect student’s bag with belongings

  • Confirm with student time and rules for accommodations

  • Check and note current time as exam start time; announce exam end time to student.

  • Set yourself an alarm for 10 minutes before exam end time

  • If student fails to show up for exam...

  • If student arrives late to exam...

10 minutes before exam end time

  • Enter room where student is taking exam and announce that s/he has 10 minutes left

End of exam

  • Collect all scratch paper (blank ones included)

  • Collect all Blue Books.

  • Collect Scantron, if applicable

  • Collect pencils

  • Place all collected items back into exam packet

After Exam's End: May 6th & 7th - Chosen proctors will stay to help with Clean-up and perorm Administrative duties to complete Exam's.
