The Financial Analyst with analyze historical accounting data and other information to make projections which will aid management in short- and long-range financial planning.
Coordinates action necessary to correct account balances and maintain proper accounting controls and procedures.
Assists in year-end audits and in ensuring the accuracy of accounting data.
Analyzes financial statements and prepares and analyzes financial reports to represent current and projected financial status.
Projects future trends and prepares long-range operational forecasts and cash flow analysis.
May assist in preparing, developing and monitoring budgets.
May perform indirect cost analysis.
Performs related responsibilities as required.
ADDITONAL JOB DETAILS:
Provides financial support, analysis and reporting to the Energy and Utilities group within Campus Services.
This includes utility monitoring, trending and reporting.
Additional responsibilities will include entry, billing, monitoring and reporting of monthly utilities to customers within Emory University and Healthcare.
Will assist in preparing cash flows and rate of return calculations on new, innovative sources of energy type of projects.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, finance or a related field and four years of financial analysis or accounting experience, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
Energy or utility related financial experience.
Familiaritywith Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
