JOB DESCRIPTION: Prepares, portions and serves menu items for patients, the cafeteria and retail areas in accordance with approved recipes. Prepares patient trays according to individual patient's selected menu. Reports problems in food production to avoid delays in meal service schedule and to improve the quality of food services. May assist in preparing and distributing elemental diets, patient nourishments and floor stock. Maintains clean and sanitary food preparation areas and equipment. Observes all food borne illness, safety and infection control policies and procedures. May operate a cash register. May assist with catering activities. May train to assist with cooking and baking. Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent. One year of food service experience. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
