The Goizueta Business School of Emory University invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position in the Information Systems and Operations Management area beginning Fall 2018 or Spring 2019.This faculty position focuses on teaching six courses per year in Information Systems and/or Operations Management. Additional job responsibilities include student mentoring as well as participation on college and area committees. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience teaching in a leading business school along with relevant experience in industry, government or the public sector. A Ph.D. in operations management, information systems, business administration, operations research, statistics, computer science or a related quantitative or technical field is required. Candidates must provide evidence of outstanding teaching.
Our search targets candidates who have the capacity to effectively teach coursework in either Information Systems or Operations Management topic areas. An ability to teach in both topic areas would be a plus. Generally, a strong candidate would have the ability to teach quantitative courses related to business operations and/or technical courses related to the use of information technology in business. Topic areas include but are not limited to undergraduate and/or MBA courses in the following:
Business statistics and decision analysis
Business operations and processes
Information technology in business, including data management and programming
Business Analytics and big data
The Information Systems & Operations Management (ISOM) area within the Goizueta Business School is composed of operations management, information systems, and decision analysis/statistics faculty. An overview of the ISOM faculty research and teaching interests can be viewed at.
The Goizueta Business School is currently ranked 14 th in the nation by Poets and Quants and 15 th in the nation by US News & World Report for its undergraduate BBA program and 20 th in the nation by both Poets and Quants and US News & World Report for its full-time MBA program.
