The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science is aggressively expanding our clinical and academic footprint in the metro-Atlanta area as part of our strategic plan. We are looking for enthusiastic faculty to and contribute to the department’s education, research, clinical care, and community service missions.

Our department is part of the Brain Health Center, a collaborative five-specialty unit that offers an enriched research environment as well as academic training opportunities in graduate, undergraduate, and professional education.

Faculty members have opportunities for clinical, research, and academic collaboration with other Brain Health faculty from Neurology, Neurosurgery, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.

We are looking for a full-time health psychologist to join the faculty and work in the Emory Transplant Center. The responsibilities would primarily include conducting clinical assessments of transplant candidates and potential living donors; providing evidence-based, time-limited psychological and behavioral health services to patients; attending interdisciplinary transplant selection meetings; participating in weekly team meetings with the team of psychosocial providers; supervising trainees; and conducting clinically-relevant research.

Additional Details

Applicants should have a strong background in clinical health psychology, integrated care, and research with medically ill populations. Experience with transplant evaluations is preferred but not required. They must have a doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited graduate program, an APA accredited internship, and at least one-year supervised postdoctoral training. The individual must be licensed or license eligible in Georgia.
