  • Responsible for the overall coordination of all IT-related projects or programs within a particular department or associated initiatives within LITS.

  • Provides a high-level program view that highlights the health of each initiative and enables Leadership to take action around anticipated risks, opportunities for acceleration, and key decision points.

  • Works with sponsors, project managers, leads, consultants and key stakeholders to accurately portray and communicate challenges and opportunities of individual projects to departmental leadership.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert and liaison between technical resources and faculty as new initiatives are being discussed.

  • Works to ensure faculty have appropriate options, including their respective challenges and benefits, for consideration.

  • Contributes to project teams of major initiatives, primarily with project management or business analyst skills.

  • Establishes standards for use across projects to facilitate a common analysis of data elements and project variables.

  • Performs other duties as required.


  • A Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, and seven years of experience managing projects or portfolios, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Additional education in Business Administration courses is preferred.

  • Experience working within an academic medical center, research or healthcare institution is preferred.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University location as needed. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
