JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Coordinates and leads the development and maintenance of applications.

  • Consults with customers to understand business problems and develops technical solutions.

  • Provides technical expertise on applications, technical tools and software.

  • Provides technical direction to customers and support staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Eight years of information technology experience OR a bachelor's degree and six years of information technology experience.

  • Positions in this classification may require a knowledge of one or more programming languages and/or a knowledge of an application and application tools.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing custom applications, reports, and workflows using Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint, Power BI, SQL, and Dynamics. The candidate will also have a general set of skills and experiences with the MS 365 platform and be able to adapt to changing requirements and environments.

  • Develop requirements, feasibility, and design for Microsoft 365 projects

  • Create custom applications, reports, and workflows using Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint, Power Apps, Power BI, SQL, and Dynamics

  • Test, debug, and deploy Microsoft 365 solutions

  • Provide technical support and documentation for Microsoft 365 solutions

  • Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders on Microsoft 365 projects

  • Keep updated on the latest trends and best practices of Microsoft 365 platform and services

  • UX/UI design and website usability

  • Experience with SQL queries and databases

  • Experience C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.

  • Working knowledge of data management concepts, including relational databases and liquid markup

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met

  • Strong, proven troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in developing custom applications, reports, and workflows using Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint, Power Apps, Power BI, and SQL

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 platform and its features, functionalities, and limitations

  • Familiar with Microsoft 365 licensing and administration

  • Experience with a CRM, preferably Peoplesoft

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department of work. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
