As Manager of Systems Operations for Enrollment Services, manages the front-end configuration of the Slate CRM tool for Undergraduate Admission. Supervises a team of data/document processors in support of the recruitment and selection processes of Undergraduate Admission. Reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives and is part of a technical/data team.


  • Manages the daily tasks and workflow of the data/document processing team.

  • Evaluates alternatives to general business practices and determines methods to streamline and/or automate processes. Implements and maintains systems to ensure that applicants, high school counselors, and internal stakeholders receive timely, relevant, and accurate admission information, as needed.

  • Configures the reading bins/workflow for multiple recruitment and selection efforts.

  • Coordinates the intake of data and documents from multiple application, score, and transcript services.

  • Collects and analyzes data and recommends technology plans and strategies.

  • Collaborates with other technical/data team members and office stakeholders to develop protocols and processes to support new outreach and recruiting initiatives.

  • Builds reports and queries to support operational, recruiting, and selection efforts.

  • Implements and maintains systems for processing lists of potential applicants from a variety of data sources.

  • Collaborates with departmental customers to conduct business analysis, identifying business objectives and requirements and building a process to support those objectives.

  • Creates documentation and training to ensure consistency and data integrity.

  • Implements and maintains systems to implement communication plans directed at potential applicants and/or their faculty, directors, and program coordinators.

  • Participates in the development of departmental goals and objectives consistent with the strategic plan.

  • Serves as a liaison to outside vendors and service providers.

  • Aligns activities with the goals of other Enrollment Services teams engaged in preparing new students, including the Office of Undergraduate Education, the Registrar, and Financial Aid.

  • Represents the office at meetings and conferences.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.


  • A bachelor's degree and three years of admission and related systems experience.

  • Technical experience with a CRM system, including workflow configuration, writing reports and queries, and creating imports and exports of documents and data is essential; experience with Slate strongly preferred.

  • Higher education admission experience and supervisory experience strongly preferred.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
