JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Manages the day to day employee relations function at the entity.

  • Leader and mentor of the entity Human Resource Generalists and is responsible for their training and development.

  • Guides the HR Generalists through employee relations investigations as needed.

  • Keeps a log of all employee relations cases and regularly reviews with entity HR Leadership.

  • Serves as business partner to department leaders to resolve complex employee relations cases.

  • Leads training of department leaders on managing their employee relations and creating a work environment to engage and develop staff. Under guidance from entity HR Leadership, supports Human Resource strategic

  • People Strategy work on retention, employee engagement, Care Transformation, diversity, equity and inclusion.

  • Serves as Human Resource project point person on entity restructures and acquisitions.

  • Guides department leaders through restructures.

  • Supports Human Resource efforts to ensure leaders are keeping up with their staffs in annual regulatory compliance with HLC Regulatory modules, flu shots, health assessments, and performance reviews.

  • Participates and supports entity Human Resource efforts to prepare for Joint Commission compliance.

  • Supports entity Human Resource efforts to ensure leaders¿ staff files are current through regular audits and participates in the Human Resource portion of Joint Commission visits.

  • Ensures employment, compensation, employee relations, and affirmative action practices comply with organization and legal requirements.

  • Develops and implements training and employee recognition programs.

  • Serves on and provides input to internal and external committees and represents the department within the organization on Human Resources matters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field required.

  • Must have five years of progressive human resources experience. Previous experience in a lead or managerial capacity preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (MediumMax 25lbs): up to 25 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 25 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
