Manages administrative and research activities in support of a specialized program or research center. Develops plans for program growth and development and serves as a liaison to various committees or organizations. May oversee the planning, logistics and implementation of various special events such as lectures, seminars, conferences, or research projects. Participates in developing and implementing various program related communications such as websites, publications, multimedia or video productions. May hire and supervise administrative or research related staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.

SPECIFIC JOB DETAILS/DUTIES (include but not limited to):

  • Coordinate, attend, prepare materials, and/or takes minutes at meetings

  • Schedule and manage video conference meetings (such as Zoom, Go to Meeting, etc.)

  • Processes payments for vendors, Emory employees, guests of Emory

  • Monitor program budgets

  • Creating and updating communication materials; website, flyers, articles, etc.

  • Take lead in planning programmatic and logistical efforts of multiple conferences

  • Coordinate the tracking of program progress by collecting progress reports and other data

  • Write detailed annual reports and create quarterly PowerPoint presentations outlining program progress


A bachelor's degree in business or related field. Five years of professional experience in a related field such as business administration, research, or information systems management.

Requires previous supervisory and program/project management experience.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, video conference platforms

  • Detail-oriented

Additional Details


Supports program directors by performing and managing administrative, logistical, and programmatic duties related to four Georgia Clinical & Translational Science (Georgia CTSA) programs – Admin Home; Innovation Catalyst; Informatics; and Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD). Coordinates with other program directors, program coordinators, and administrative staff at Emory and other partner institutions (Morehouse School of Medicine, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Georgia, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Grady Health Systems).
