JOB DESCRIPTION: * For use by Emory Temporary Services only * Provides complex electronic classroom support through a variety of methods which may include digitization of materials (text, images, audio, and/or video) to meet the needs of instructors and researchers. Recommends electronic delivery options for various forms of content based on stated needs. Troubleshoots and supports hardware and software problems that interfere with the creation and/or delivery of content. May consult with faculty on different approaches to content based on their goals for instructional use or research. Maintains a working knowledge of current and emerging modes of digitizing text, images and video for delivery via the Internet. May hire train and supervise student and temporary employees. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of college coursework and one year of multimedia experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience in an instructional technology setting preferred.
The qualified individual will be responsible for managing and supporting all of the conference rooms for the Brain Health Center. Locations include:
12 Executive Park
6 Executive Park
Woodruff Memorial Building
Additional locations as they are built out
70% of the individual time will be responsible for ensuring that these rooms are kept in order, vendors are contacted for any hardware related issues and IT/Audio Visual needs are met when support is requested for an event during normal business hours. The will assist with designing and constructing conference room spaces and will work with the IT Manager to create standards and policies around Audiovisual support. This individual will also be responsible for regularly managing the production of the following events:
Psychiatry Grand Rounds
Neurology Grand Rounds
Psychiatry Faculty Meetings
Neurology Faculty Meetings
Brain Health Center Leadership Meetings
Large scale Brain Health Center Events
The remaining 30% of this individual’s time will be dedicated to assisting the IT team with providing desktop support. Support will include tier1 level requests and assisting the Sr. Consultants with support related tasks such as ordering equipment and imaging computers.
The preferred candidate will need to have experience with managing a crowd and providing exceptional customer service. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in either Academia and/or a Healthcare environment.
