The Department of Radiology, Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time radiologist, interested in pursuing an academic career in Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor. Our Musculoskeletal section currently consists of 6 faculty members and 4 fellows. We are looking to expand our interventional services with the opening of a new MSK institute. Currently, our clinical interventional services include an ultrasound subsection with a mix of diagnostic and interventional cases including treatment of tendinosis, bursitis, arthritic pain and image guided tumor biopsies among others. Our robust oncologic services include close relationship with multiple sarcoma/oncologic surgeons with strong presence in tumor board case presentations. We perform all the image-guided biopsies of the spine and extremities. In addition, we have a robust clinic that utilizes image-guided radiofrequency and cryoablation ablations for the treatment of pain in the setting of degenerative arthritis of the knee, shoulder and hip articulations. Our diagnostic side including image interpretation for all the professional teams in the city of Atlanta including the falcons, Hawks and the Braves. We also interpret all neurographies across the system.
The candidate filling this position will demonstrate expertise and interest in Musculoskeletal Imaging with an emphasis on intervention. Clinical duties will be within the Musculoskeletal Imaging Section and include interpretation of diagnostic studies, including radiographs, CT, MR, and MSK ultrasound and image-guided procedures including therapeutic injections, biopsies, aspirations, ablations, and spine procedures. Training can be provided on as needed basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be ABR Board-certified/eligible, subspecialty certified or eligible, completed a musculoskeletal fellowship at an accredited program, and eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in musculoskeletal Interventional procedures required. Emory Radiology has a strong commitment to faculty development and academic advancement.
