Emory University Open Rank Faculty Position- Physiology in atlanta, Georgia
This is a tenure-track faculty position and requires research, teaching and service as per Medical School guidelines for Promotion and Tenure. These would include the following:
Maintain a strong and externally funded research program.
Manage lab personnel.
Lecture in graduate programs and/or Medical School programs as needed in the Department.
Become faculty in one or more Emory graduate programs and maintain an active status.
Supervise and support graduate students.
Serve in committees of the Department of Physiology, Graduate programs, and Medical School when asked.
Make significant contributions to Departmental mission in research, teaching and service.
Interested Candidates should submit CV and contact of 3 references-Seeking an outstanding investigator to reinforce the Departmental mission to understand organismal function from genes to systems with an emphasis on integrative physiology. The two areas of strength that will be prioritized are neural control of basic physiological functions, sensorimotor and/or autonomic, and neuroinflammation and neuron-glia interactions that disrupt these functions in disease. The successful candidate is expected to already have established a well-funded independent research program with a track-record of high quality publications and successful mentoring of graduate students.
